Well it depends.   If they are on a card in the phone then merely inserting the card into a new phone or computer should do it.    If they are in the old phones memory, the only way to get them out would be to temporarily activate the phone in order to retrieve them.   It will have to be a phone capable of being activated on our network.   Also, if you've got the data cable for the phone you might be able to upload them to your computer.
