As a former Verizon employee myself, I understand that this is not the fault of the front-line representatives who attempted to assist me.
However, I am quite upset that by upgrading my phone and retaining the same service plan, I've actually been downgraded in service. When it was purchased a several weeks ago, before the data plan became required (and about which i was not informed) it was advertised as a "Messaging Phone."
I have an ENV3 with unlimited texting and pics on the plan and no data, data is blocked on our phones. I can send and receive text with pictures just fine on my ENV3 even as of today and I don't need a data plan to do it. I got my phone before the 18th, is this something new since the data requirement on these phones? Mary
