Hi... my wife and I are having similar issues, mostly with group texts but occasionally with single texts. No network changes and no new software, except for system updates. She has a Note 5 and I have a Note 8. Both of us are using the stock Android messaging app (not Message+). The following is displayed on nearly all group messages. They are recieved both from Apple and Android devices.
I have tried the following without success:
• Reset the messaging app by Force Stop, then Clear Cache, then Clear Data, then restart device.
• Discard the Data Access Point "Verizon Internet", then restart device.
• Cleared the system cache by holding Bixby, Vol Up, and Power button, then choose clear cache, then reboot device.
• Shut off cellular data and rebooted with only wifi running.
• Shut off wifi and rebooted with only cellular data running.
There is a small icon above my strength bars that indicate a network extender, which my neighbor has, but my settings show I am not connected to it.
This has become very problematic and is causing us both issues with our connections to clients and associates. We must have a resolution to this, apparently widespread issue, if we are to continue with our long term Verizon relationship.
