Message app changed an individual text dialog I had with my friend to a "group text" with my friend and I as the only numbers. So, I get a duplicate text from me whenever I send my friend anything. I've even tried "new message" but it defaults to the original meaage stream (dialog). What's up with that? Don't want to delete the dialog.

I rely on my messages to display properly when communicating with others and want the same for you, Lord71. Let's look into this and figure out what's going on. When did this issue start? Is the Verizon Message app up to date? What happens when you start a new message to the contact outside of the group thread?

Thanks for the response.
It was after an update, and only one message thread was affected.
It became increasingly annoying to communicate with my friend, so I bit the
bullet and deleted the thread. To my surprise, when my friend responded to
an earlier text, the entire thread respawned with no further issues.
I wish we could have worked on this but it seemed to have worked it self
out.
