I saw somewhere on the site that here is a 25MB plan for $9.99 and now I cannot find it. Can someone provide the link?

There is one. See attachment. I got this from attempting to add it to one of my lines on My Verizon. You can add it yourself online if you are registered as the account owner.

Yes. You can access email from AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, and I think Verizon.net from Mobile Web. You can also access FB from Mobile Web at http://m.facebook.com.

If you need email from an Internet Service Provider like Time Warner, Comcast, Cox, ATT, etc where you have a POP3 username and password, then you need Mobile Email. Mobile Email as a standalone download from the Media Center/Get it Now is $5 a month plus MB charges, but it's included at no extra cost in the Connect and Premium Plans

i believe you can upgrade to a connect plan with unlimited data for roughly the same price as the 25 mb plan.

That's true if you go from a Select Plan (unlimited messaging) to a Connect Plan (unlimited messaging plus unlimited megabytes and Mobile Email) -- it's only $10 more. However, jumping from a Basic Plan (pay per use messaging) to a Connect Plan is a $20 increase.

I am considering this new 25mb data plan for $10.  My question is how much internet time, facebook, email, etc time do you get with that 25mb?  I know it is based on your usage, but I have NO experience with data usage over cell phones.  If I go to facebook 5 times for 10 minutes each time is that going to use up my 25mb?

I hope this question makes sense.  I wouldn't plan on being on the phone all the time, just occasionally checking out things on the web, etc since I am a computer most of the day.  But it would be nice to be able to occasionally check for news updates, sports scores, facebook, email, etc.

Thanks.

What you can do is add the 25MB plan, then monitor your usage with MyVerizon.  It does typically lag behind 24-48 hours, but after a week or so you should have an idea if you are close to the 25 MB limit or not.  If you are close, or over, then bump up to Connect for $10 or $20 more (depending on your plan now) and BACKDATE it to the beginning of the billing cycle to cover all your data usage for the cycle.  If you are not close, then you know the 25 MB plan will work for you.

I have the basic plan with add a line. We have the motorola rival and are thinking of the data plan on each for $10. Is this the most cost effective?

25 mb is about the size of 5 good quality mp3 songs.

Personally I can burn through 25 mb in no time at all.
