I'll let THINKER214​ respond for themselves, but I'm in the same boat (I'm the OP of this thread), and I can report that other BT devices are working fine with my phone. Fitbit devices (at least the Flex) do not pair with BT; they somehow connect directly. Possibly this is the issue.
