I can certainly understand how there would be confusion between what has been offered in the past and what has been updated for the 2018-2019 season.
Verizon offers free live streams of locally available games through Yahoo Sports (and the companion app), just visit this link on game day to see your available games: http://spr.ly/6587DFT7U This can be accessed on any smartphone or tablet, regardless of mobile carrier.
NFL RedZone is offered exclusively through the NFL app, which can be downloaded for iOS or Android using this link: http://spr.ly/6588DFT7q This is not the same as the NFL Mobile app, which was offered exclusively to Verizon customers in previous seasons and is no longer available. RedZone carries a $4.99 per month subscription for the 2018-2019 season. You can also sign in with your cable provider if you've received it as part of a subscription package. This is not a Verizon service. It is being offered by the NFL through their official app.
I hope this information helps provide clarity.
