I was told by the Verizon rep that a military discount would apply to their new program. Sounded like a good deal so we signed up. Only to be told, after our new program became active, that a military discount won't apply. Sounds like the old 'bait and switch' or their reps don't have proper training and tell you whatever so you'll sign up. Tired of calling them and getting the run around, so we'll just pay the higher rate. So, if you're in the military or have already served, don't get sucked in by their military discount come on. I have a good notion of reporting this to the BBB.

mier
value active service members and veterans, JOEP7056. We offer discounts on both
wireless and Fios services. Let’s investigate this. What is the new program
that you’re on?

I believe it's called loyalty 55+, unlimited data. It costs us $40 per
phone plus $20 for a tablet.
Therefore it comes to $90 per month plus tax and etc.
It sounded great when your rep said I can also get a 15% military discount.
Besides having one of
your store reps send in my DD214, I also sent it in with no results. Than
was told that a military discount
wouldn't apply to that plan.
By this time I am just frustrated and tired of dealing with your reps. So
I'll just roll with the punches and settle for
what I have.
It's just not good business to promise one thing and then, later on, renege.
