Ive been trying for days to get the new 2.2 update, and whatever I do I can't connect to the update manager (settings/about phone/system updates). It sits in the loading window for a while then I get an error. "Check for update was not available at this time Try again later"
I have rebooted my phone, tried with several different wireless connections and 3G. I figured that the first few days it would be busy, but it appears everyone has it now but me. Am I missing anything?

Try re-programming your phone by dialing *228 send and option 1. Once the programming is complete, do a battery pull, leave the battery out for 5 seconds, place it back in and power the device on. Once you have done so, follow the steps below to access the update.
Go to "Menu" > "Settings" > "About Phone" > "System Updates". For more information and step-by-step instructions please visit www.verizonwireless.com/DroidXsupport.

=( I had already tried all of those steps. Unfortunately that didnt work either. Is there an address I can just download the patch from and transfer it to my droid, then run it manually?

Oh I messed around with some settings and managed to get it working. I turned off background data then turned it back on, that seemed to trigger it. Strange. Its downloading now
