When the phone is doing an all day sync it will show up in black.  When the phone is accessing future date calendar entries from the phone, it will show colors. Hope this helps!

I see you are answering a question about Google calendar and syncing.  I cannot find anyone or anywhere to tell me how to sync my google calendar with my Droid X.  Can you help?

Here are the steps for syncing your calendar.  Hope this helps!

1. Open the Applications tray
2. Select My Accounts
3. Tap on the Google account  you wish to adjust  
4. You will be able to check or uncheck the syncing of Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts   
5. Press Menu hard key,   Tap on Sync Now to sync all checked Google applications.                 

After you setup your calendar you need to open the calendar application on the phone to allow the first sync. 

Hey...I have 2 Droid X and have separate Google Calanders for each (On the phone and on the PC They are shared).  I noticed that the calendars are not syncing automatically and I have to manually sync them through the my accounts screen....Am I doing something wrong?  Shouldn't the calendars all sync autmoatically?

Still have not fixed this issue. I have come to live with it but it is very bothersome. Everything syncs fine. My Droid x calendar display is in black and white. The main body is Black with appointments in white. I'd just like it to be the same as my PC Google.

Any ideas ?

Try changing the calendar settings in your Gmail account on the PC.  You can try customizing different color options in your Gmail account from the PC for the different colors.
