Hi,

I have checked and I do not think you can manually change the shutter speed with the 8330.  Your problem is that the pictures you are taking are in low light for the camera and it is trying to compensate to allow more light into the camera thus giving you a slower shutter speed.  You may try to open the camera options and change the Default Flash Setting to ON.  That way you will always have flash when you take a picture and it will use a faster shutter speed.  Let me know how this works for you.
