How come loyal (long time) customers can't get the deals that are offered to new subscribers. My contract is coming up for renewal and I better get as good or better deal or I am out of here.

When your contract is completed, then review the available promotions at that time.

The same deals are available to current customers not currently under contract, so once your contract has been completed you will get the same deals available at the time.
