If you tried to use a password 3 times and failed, you are locked out  As it stands right now, your phone is bricked and you can not even do a factory reset.. Your only recourse is to either call Verizon customer service or go to a Verizon store where they can enter in a special code (PUK) for your phone. This will unlock it and make it useable again. As you found out, worst thing anyone can do is forget their password.
