I hope your husband’s heart surgery goes well, KP1978KP. I know how important it is to have a reliable device and apologize that your husband’s new phone has left him without a way to get a hold of anyone. As Ann154 and acraftylady2 mentioned, we can activate a spare phone if you happen to still have one of the G2 devices, or really any Verizon Wireless phone, available. This can be done by logging into www.verizonwireless.com/bring-your-own-device if you do have a spare. But our device replacement program described at https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/device-replacement-program/ will be the quickest way to a working phone if you don’t have a spare to wait for the manufacturer to complete a repair. We created this option because we know time is of the essence to have a reliable device and not everyone has the ability to send a phone to the manufacturer for their warranty. I can understand your hesitation on accepting a Certified Like-New Replacement for a phone that you just received, but it is the usual replacement if it’s been more than 15 days since purchase. They go through extremely rigorous testing to make sure it is just as good as, if not better than, a brand new phone. I’m confident the replacement that you mentioned is on the way will be an excellent alternative to waiting for the repair.
