Verizon certainly has not been pro Windows phones, but Microsoft could have included the bands and you could have used it on Verizon with an already activated SIM.

Yea, that's what I wish would have happened.  That way, when VZW gave people a hard time, it would totally be in VZW.

Then when they get tagged for violating Block C open access then get fined, and if they continue to violate it then they could actually lose their billion dollar investment and the spectrum resold.  Imagine the amount of total revenue they could lose as well as the billions they spent to acquire the 700C spectrum.

Exactly.  That is the right idea.

I Am a strong proponent of getting the carrier out of the phone selling business. Consumers should be able to buy directly from the manufacturer or third party retailer like Best Buy.  Updates are then between you and manufacturer.  There is movement in this direction, but not fully there yet.  I say it is one inevitable though.

Exactly.  Just like I've written probably hundreds of times, it should be like the ISP model.  Carriers and ISPs only provide the service.  They should never tell us which devices we get and be the gatekeeper for updates.

I guess we can argue all day, but in the end the phone is not coming or is not going to work on Verizon.  its been clear to me anyway that Verizon does not care to support the windows platform.  being wp is so small when it comes to users compared to the other platforms, no one is going to step in and tell Verizon they have to allow them on there network.

Dude they do... it's called Block C rules. Read and understand them. MS did it on their own.

So your saying it has nothing to do with how Verizon has treated Windows phones and the people who use them on there network?  Verizon does not care for windows. That has alot to do with those bands being locked out. No this is Verizon fault, they handled windows poorly in the past.

I agree completely. Verizon has no real customer care, that is obvious from the fact that their customers only resort after 5 o'clock is to talk to each other about the problems with Verizon

They are not being locked out. MS locked it out on their own. Learn block C rules and learn how FCC licensing works. Verizon can't lock any spectrum out. Stop spreading that FUD around.
