Someone has hacked into my daughters phone (on my plan) and is stalking her and changing passwords. How do I find details on this website?

My daughter's roommate hacked into her phone which is on my plan. My daughter is going to police and verizon to file a report. My question is:Does that mean that she has hacked into my online account to? If so, I want to press charges too, since I am the owner. It appears this girl has using a gps to follow her and is changing the passwords on that phone. How can I look at the usage on her line, to see what numbers have been called?

Something this sensitive I'd call Verizon support immediately and talk to someone.

You should obviously change your MyVerizon password and your daughter should do the same.

If you really think someone has hacked into your daughters phone, she could also factory reset it without saving app information and then after resetting the device, simply add back the apps she wants. Make sure she uses some sort of lock screen on the device so no one can access her device without her permission.

janiebelle1957, as a mother of 3 girls, I can only imagine how terrified this must have you both. Rcschnoor was absolutely correct. You will want to change your My Verizon passwords and potentially even your secret question. Steps are provided at http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/my-verizon-faqs/?intcmp=INT-SEA-NON-SE-change_password-010715....

To view any reported usage on your daughters line, simply sign into you My Verizon account, scroll over My Usage, select View Usage, click on her line and on the left of the screen will be options for Data, Minutes and Messages. Here you can see any calls placed or received, data used and what numbers messages were sent to or received from.

Loren, changing a password would not be enough if an account was hacked. Likely an account is hacked because someone knew the phone number, by giving it out, or thru caller ID. The user name would need to be changed to gain more security. That would need to be a made up user name, and not a phone number being used as a user name.

If you refer to the link provided under Registering and Account Management #7. It explains how to receive a temporary password to gain access to an account by using the phone number, which is a weakness.

So I seem to think if someone doesn't use their phone number as a user name, but uses a made up name, it would be far more difficult to gain access to an account.
