boe,

Yea, I would absolutely enjoy the larger screens we see with some of the Androids. Too bad we're not yet technically sophisticated to just custom order a device for our specific needs and it's fabricated & shipped the same day....

Thank you for your feedback. In response to SickFreak posted suggestion and in adding what was stated, devices do take time to be designed, developed and made available. In suggesting a custom device being created and shipped out on the same day is not possible. This process of making a device is more involved besides just taking a larger screen, connecting it over the face of a phone and shipping out the same day. So regardless of being technically sophisticated, this is not the only aspect involved in making a device. We would not want to overlook other related aspects of what goes into making a device. We offer a variety of devices with larger screen sizes. In offering the WP 7 phone, perhaps other such Windows devices may become available in the future. Please look though the posting on how to sign up for email alerts for being informed on new devices and products.

EDW- thanks for participating in these threads.   The question really is - How do we convince Verizon to get much better WP7 phones?   Clearly we can't determine if WP7 is a popular platfrom for Verizon if the only WP7 phone has really low end hardware.    We know larger WP7 phones are already selling and have been selling for quite some time now on other carriers.   We know that WP7 phones with better batteries in even slimmer phones exist and have better battery life on other carriers.   We know that WP7 phones with better screen technology are being sold on other carriers.  How do we convince Verizon to carry such a phone - sure signing up for email alerts isn't going to let Verizon know we want bettter WP7 phones.     How do we convince Verizon to think outside the box and contact HTC or Samsung to make a flagship WP7 phones with a 4.3" screen, BT 3.x or 4.x (for better battery life and faster sync), 4G (which can be turned on for faster access when you need it and off for when you want to save battery life), SD expandability, and maybe a newer processor (lowest priority).    Sure Mango will be required for some of those features to help us but Mango isn't that far away and since Verizon takes a long time to get current phones, how do we convince Verizon to order it NOW?

Are you joking? Verizon doesn't care about what YOU want. They already removed FreeEvery2, cut the upgrade eligibility rebate from 13 months to 21 months and now removed "unlimited data". BTW two of those  3 objectives were done before an iPhone and WP7 device were sold (convenient huh).Next they'll add a 4G tax and sell it as a "feature".

The loudest message will be to leave Verizon. Case the best phones will be on other carriers first.

That said, HTC will be making some great WP7 Mango phones and now that CDMA is tangibly shipping (at last Oct/Nov WP7 launch CDMA support was set "first half of 2011) they have more motivation and carrier ability to procure orders. We all know verizon NEEDS a WP7 mango "superphone" but Verizon marches to their own drummer and timeline.

Grasp that reality.

I've given up for now.  I just ordered an EVO 3D on Sprint.   Hopefully a year from now Sprint or Verizon will have a decent WP7 phone.

Too funny that my tongue-in-cheek comment was taken seriously, but now that I think about it....  Think about the way we buy a PC from an OEM - we pick components from selection of compatible items that will work with the base system.... RAM, harddrive, monitor, video card, etc.  Maybe phones will be done the same way in the future - there will be a base system and we select the screen, display, keyboard, RAM, etc.

Where are the high-end WP7 phones?  I am nearly ready to switch to AT&T.

As every week goes by i am more frustrated wtih VZW. My wife and I have been loyal VZW customers for years.  We have 3 lines and have been month-to-month for the last 2 or 3 years.  If VZW doesn't step up and deliver a high-end phone as soon as Mango is released, i will write off VZW and swittch to AT&T.

Mango is fantastic.  I've got Mango on a prototype phone with no cell service, and it even as a mere "PDA" I love it.  *Why am I waiting for VZW?!*

Yea, my wife told me this morning to move over to AT&T.  I've been waiting years to replace my phone and Verizon still doesn't get it.

While still classified as RUMOR, there is word that Nokia is going to bring to the table a couple of more affordable phones for ATT and T-Mobile, while brining a higher end phone to Verizon.  We'll see if this pans out....
