While I have stated in other threads my hopes for future WP7 phones, I would be more than happy with a Verizon version of the Samsung Focus, HTC HD7S or the Dell Venue Pro. A bigger screen is my greatest desire, followed by a desire for a good camera (Trophy reviews generally list the camera as a major shortcoming) and more storage capacity (32GB please). I have seen what WP7 can do with an "inferior" processor. The speed of the OS is great as is. I would like to see a faster processor and more RAM, but I can live without them.

I don't think Verizon can "hear us now" regarding a device with a slideout keyboard...

I'd bet the farm Verizon will have no new WP devices until Fall when the "Mango" update is released and preinstalled on new hardware that has gyro, possible front-facing camera, etc.
The windows phone 7 virtual keyboard makes the horizontal slider moot. I'm sure customer demand for such a device is marginal at best. Now a Dell Venue Pro vertical slider (i.e. BB Torch) is another thing, more useful for business people but there is no such CDMA device available and again with Mango coming none will be announced until Fall (Sept-Nov)

For those of use with large hands, the virtual keyboard doesn't work well. Our demand is not "marginal" and we are business users. I know several people personally that got tired of waiting and switched to Sprint just because they had the HTC Arrive.
You might be right about waiting for Mango, but with Verizon's history, that means an additional 6+ months after release.

You may be in "luck" as far as a slider keyboard. I believe Verizon will be getting he same POS sprint has in a few months. Unfortunately it doesn't have any of the features found on modern Android phones and the screen is even smaller than the Trophy. I have used the large on screen keyboards of 4.3" phones and don't need a physical keyboard so it wouldn't need to be bulky like the Sprint model if they just got one with a decent sized screen. But since we've had to wait so long they might as well have it take advantage of other current technology such as BT 3.0 or 4.0 - both are faster than 2.x and have better battery consumption, 4G - can be turned on and off for when you need the speed. SD expansion - why not have the ability to carry more on the phone securely - NOTHING on the internet is secure or as fast as native media.

Yea, I would absolutely enjoy the larger screens we see with some of the Androids. Too bad we're not yet technically sophisticated to just custom order a device for our specific needs and it's fabricated & shipped the same day....

That would be fantastic!! I was just using the EVO 3D last night and I'd probably get something just like it - although I wouldn't care about the 3D and I'd get rid of the dual camera nonsense. I really love WP7 but I think I'll end up getting the Samsung Galaxy SII or the EVO 3d just because the trophy is such a poor comparison hardware size.

It's marginal. The "physical keyboards" are pretty lame even for large handed people. I owned a TP2 for reference and a large-sized friend of mine (business user) jumped from that to WP7 samsung focus becuase the keyboard was clumsy for typing.
so in short you are overstating the need for physical keyboards.
I'm not saying Verizon shouldn't release one but they need a 3.8-4.0 inch screen too and the Dell Venue Pro is a better form factor any way you slice it for "business users" who want a physical keyboard

Thank you for your feedback. In response to SickFreak posted suggestion and in adding what was stated, devices do take time to be designed, developed and made available. In suggesting a custom device being created and shipped out on the same day is not possible. This process of making a device is more involved besides just taking a larger screen, connecting it over the face of a phone and shipping out the same day. So regardless of being technically sophisticated, this is not the only aspect involved in making a device. We would not want to overlook other related aspects of what goes into making a device. We offer a variety of devices with larger screen sizes. In offering the WP 7 phone, perhaps other such Windows devices may become available in the future. Please look though the posting on how to sign up for email alerts for being informed on new devices and products.
