I have a Samsung S3 that is up in August and the charging port quit working.  Verizon told me there was nothing they could do.  how much to terminate my contract early and go with another carrier?

I, too, have an s3 with charge port issues.  I have had the port replaced and it just failed again.  Verizon can't do anything about it, unless you have insurance, and it seems like extended warranty or insurance claims wind up being a battle royale quite often. I actually bought another s3 off eBay and it did the same thing. My husband has an s4 with no charge port issues, but for myself, I think I'm going to use my son's upgrade and get an iPhone. I know so many people with iPhones who LOVE them and won't go back.

I Also have an s3 the port works, but is not quite right.  I bought a charging pad and wireless receiver on Amazon for about $20. Works so great I added one to my Note 3 and bought my sister one for her birthday.

its a bit slower than the cable, but it works wells.

i Will post a link shortly.

TWo two options to get you started.  If your phone is 2 years old, the battery may not hold a charge as long.  Amazon also has replacement batteries.
