i have been loyal to verizon but i feel they havent been loyal to me.

i dont understand how the info you get is always different depending on who you talk  to.  I called to see about suspending one of our  numbers or seeing if i would have to  continue to pay on that one till the contract ended.  they advised me i could transfer that number to a home phone service (which i think i only used twice maybe) and that way i would not have to pay an early termination fee and i continued to pay the bill as always but then i tried to upgrade our other line and they tell me i cant because the home line was disconnected for non payment.  so i went and picked up the receiver and sure enough it was disconnected and i asked them why because i always paid the bill and they tell me it was a seperate bill.  she advised me that there was a $175 early terination fee that had to be paid !!! i was furious because i never would have switched that line over to a home phone number if she hadnt told me that it was the only way to avoid the eary termination fee.  Why is it that one person has different information than someone else.  We have been with verizon since before when it was the alltel plan and have been paying almost $200 a month for how many years now and they cant ger their information on the same page where one person has the same information as someone else.  Its totally frustrating and a reason to switch companies which i hate to do because i have been loyal to verizon but they havent been loyal to me.  Id like to know why they cant get info straight or at least fire the ones that give you the bad information.

So, you switched a cell number to a land line to avoid ETF payment on the cell line, and you didn't know that you would actually have to make payments for the land line? Ummm....

First, you cannot suspend a line until the contract is up.  You either suspend and keep paying, or suspend with reduced price, ut the contract gets extended by the same amount of time you suspended.  You were asking something that is not possible and you got bad results.  Were you paying the home line or not?

Loyalty is for friends and pets, not large corporations.  Plus, you were so "loyal" you didn't want to fulfill the terms of your contract?  Sounds like you weren't so loyal.

I second Weth.

You have no choice but to trust the representative who you are speaking to. They all have the same information available to them, but it is up to the representative to use it. It might have been that persons first day. You never know. Asking the right questions and asking things that are reasonable is your job. They gave you information to what you requested, surprise surprise, it didn't work out because you did not plan to pay for the service you agreed to? I am not sure why you thought that you could switch services and then not pay for it.

The suspension of service is a total of 30 days courtesy no billing for lost/stolen devices, or reduced price at $10/month for up to 90 days per rolling 12 month period. This reduced billing will extend your contract each day it is suspended.

Customer Service Rep

We truly value your long time loyalty TYBRO25, and don't want to lose you. Verizon Wireless has a strong customer commitment to delivering the best from our service and staff. I am disappointed to hear the service you received did not reflect this commitment.

We can definitely take a look at the account and see what happened. Just to be clear, were you billed a cancelation fee on the land line or cell phone? Please reply to the Direct Message I sent you so we can access the account and further assist.
