how to recieve texts

Does anyone know if it is possible to recieve text messages online?

The only way to send/receive texts on-line with Verizon is by using the Vtext system:

Send a Text Message

For texts that are sent/received through the normal text messaging system (i.e., via your phone), you cannot see text content on-line, but your text logs are available through your on-line MyVerizon account.

hi tiki its meeee!! loll   we really are not crazy!! hahah  You just said vtext!!  why would an email come from #@vzwpix as an attachment, with only " text" in the message, and not come from vtext in a normal text message or from an email that is used for picture messaging???

Apparently if the message is over 160 characters, it arrives as an attachment.  I gather that it's specific to iPhones.  Here's a thread about it:
