follow up to mandatory data charges....

When you log onto my verizon and go to the add/remove features part, it is possible to remove the data plan. My question is will my daughters phone ( which has the internet access blocked that I am paying $9.99 a month for as I do not want her going on line on her phone...:smileyhappy: )      be still usable or will it be unusable?

It will still be usable but if you signed a contract agreeing to the $9.99 plan as part of a phone "sidegrade" they can (and I am sure will) still charge you no matter what you enter as a preference online.  I'm sure they will soon remove that capability from the online system.  I wouldn't upgrade a phone counting on this trick working.  Heck, they'll probably pruposely wait till your 30 days is up to tell you that you can't opt out.  Then you're stuck for 2 years.  A contract is a contract...unless you are them.
