We live next to a Verizon cell tower. We've lived here several months.
The machinery at its base has always made some low humming noises, but nothing of concern.
Recently, one of the boxes has started to make a loud screech once or twice a day. The sound only tends to last a few minutes, but its very loud and it sounds like a fan unit is dying.
The box is the one closest t oour building and the trees. Third unit from the tower's generator.

A Verizon Sticker on one of the boxes says: "site 251".
Not sure how to report this issue.
