First post. It may be my last. 15 year Verizon customer.
After reading the pages and pages of posts from customers whose service was once great and is now poor, I feel like I'm adding to a broken record. I get multiple Call Failures a day as I travel in the western suburbs of Chicago (ex: 60517, 60532, 60540). The usual suggestions - run diagnostics on the phone, get a new SIM card - did not help. Trouble tickets have been closed the day after they are opened. The resolution is always the same - I live, work, and travel in known marginal/variable service areas.
Calls are possible at my home and workplace only because of Wi-Fi calling. Calls reliably drop when I'm a block (~ 1/8 mile) from my house.
While I've read of many who are having similar problems, I haven't seen any solutions. I'm open to suggestions, though. Please share your experience with fixing this problem, even if it's been to choose another carrier.
