ZERO NO Value for Long Time Customers / ZERO NO Benefits

There is NO value in being a long-time customer at Verizon Wireless. NO VALUE, NO BENEFIT AT ALL!!!

I am shopping for a phone to replace an older one. Been looking at the Verizon Wireless site for weeks if not months. Same story as others have reported here … you spot a “deal” then come to find out the “deal” is only for new customers or if you add a new line or get some other extra service. Seriously Verizon?

Some say you have to log into your account to see “deals” for current customers. OK sure we’ll give that a try. And guess what? BALONY! Fat Chance of any deals!

In many cases, even if you spot a NON-Current Customer deal you often find out that you can get a better deal from the manufacturer’s site.

To make matters worse, and to give Verizon another chance to offer maybe a good deal, I decided to call customer service. Got put on hold, every 10 seconds a message comes on saying that the hold time is XX and that you can use chat to conduct your business, this annoyance goes on for at least 25 times. After that finally some music but then … click ... the phone hangs up after waiting for 15 min. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I am now 200% convinced that there is absolutely NO Value or Benefit in being a long time loyal customer. To get a better deal, you pretty much have to cancel your service and go to another carrier when you contract is up. Alternatively, keep your phone for as long as you can then duct tape it or hold it together however possible to extend the life safely.

There are NO Deals here for loyal long term customers. Very sad!

I totally agree with you!  I have a smiliar situation.  Verizon is probably the largest carrier and yet they are unwilling to recognize their loyal customers!

The day will come when people aren't going to be loyal any more.  Verizon has the highest rates and when it comes down to it people want to get what they are paying for and want to be appreciated for being loyal.  With the company not working with their customers they are going to lose customers and they will not longer be the number one company!

It's sad because what is a few hundred dollars to them?  Wouldn't it be worth it to them to "eat" the few hundred dollars when they are making profits every month from the loyal customer?

If you can get a better deal from the manufacturer, why don't you purchase from the manufacturer?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Absolutely and one should.

The point here is that with all the huge buying power verizon has why not do something semi nice to their long time customers. Instead they put these "deals" on display then to find out that those are only good for NEW customers or only good if you add additional service. That's spiting in Verizon's loyal customer's faces. Utterly disgusting!

I don't get why people waste their time in the IVR then complain about it. Outside of disconnecting, you can do everything else from My Verizon. If you don't see anything under offers, it's not going to magically change when a live person tells you what you could check yourself.

If new line deals bother you so much, open up a new line and port out/in over it.

I agree that Verizon does not appreciate a long term customer.  I was told to wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to get a good deal on phone, that would not require a new line.  No deals really offered.  Verizon does not appreciate me even though I have six lines of service. I guess I have not choice but to leave Verizon after 21 years to go to att and get new Iphones and port my lines over to them.  Don't want to do it, but Verizon appreciates new customers more than existing customers.  Looks like what we all have to do now, is to go back and forth between providers every two years now.  I guess until we all start to do that and allow them to abuse existing customers, things won't change.

It would of been easy to to retain me.  All I have been asking for was getting either a 200 off of the Apple 8 and no new line required and no trade in required.  They were doing this a year ago with older phones.  They will be losing 2400 of business now over just 400 dollars.  Verizon get with it.  You and Netflix will regret not taking care of your long term faithful customers that you take for granted now.  You have forced me and the family to leave to another carrier.  I am even a share holder and you don't even offer deals for us.  Shame on management.

One last shot to retain me....either step up or I will leave and you will lose 2500 dollars of revenue a year.
