Why does Verizon not provide 3G coverage in Western Maryland (Garrett County) and why does it not have an agreement with US Cellular for such coverage?

I definitely want to find out what is going on in your area. What zipcode is that area? Also are you seeing service issues on your device? What model are you using?

If you sold cell phone service would you sell service to the competitior? Of course not. Service is based on demand in that area, if there isn't enough they don't get service.

There are plenty of instances of sharing network resources among
competitors.

That's great! Obviously not where you want there to be one and for a reason too.

Thanks for the zip code pfekete. I looked into the coverage in your area and I do see you are in an extended 1X data coverage which explains why you're not connecting to 3G. What phone do you have? We may be able to advise you on how to adjust the settings so it picks up the strongest signal. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Pfekete,
You're right! There definitely are. Being in an Extended Area means that you are receiving service provided by shared network resources.

What's the status on upgrading coverage to 21520? This is unacceptable. I was deployed to Afghanistan and had better coverage there then western MD! After 18 years as a VZ wireless customer I will xfer to attend if there is no plan to resolve.

We appreciate you for your service, MaZurch. Not having service to come home to is exasperating for sure. Let’s explore options for this area of coverage opportunity. What services are impacted? What make and model phone do you have?
