It was a choice. No one really needs unlimited data...not even any of us that use enough data to justify keeping it. We have options that would allow us not to use our phones at all. They aren't as convenient so we CHOOSE to use our devices instead. That is a choice. We keep unlimited data because of that choice and guess what....THAT is a choice. We could adjust out usage. Some of us don't want to. So we CHOOSE to pay more to keep unlimited data. Some of us don't use a lot of data at all but like having the safety net of unlimited data. That is a choice. In order to keep unlimited data all of these years we had to use other methods to get phones since subsidized wasn't an option. We CHOOSE to use those methods because we felt like having unlimited was more important.

Point being...no matter how much you try to argue with it every decision you made in order to have and keep unlimited was a choice that you were free to make. Unless Verizon told you that your life would end and that you under no circumstances could not make a choice to switch providers or switch plans then you weren't forced to do anything. Be upset about the changes...plenty of people are and there's nothing wrong with that. But stop playing the victim that had no choices. If you can opt to do something else then you had choices. Once again, you may not have liked the available choices but they existed. Arguing anything but else doesn't change the truth.

The less is I am sure most here would be more than willing to eat the $20 increase if we feel like we were getting more for our money. I would gladly not care about the increase if at the least Verizon did not force me to pay an additional $30 to share this data. It's only $50 if you do not share with any other devices. So I have to use all the data I can on my cell phone. I have to pay the additional $30 a month to be able to share between devices. So I was already at $50 per month now it's $70 on top of $90 a month plus tax. That is ridiculous. No I don't use 50 or 500 gigs of data. But I use enough and any plan under 20 gigs won't work for me.

My issue is that I refuse to believe that the majority of us 1% are using 50-100 plus gigs of data. In all the threads I have read maybe 2 or 3 have said they use anything over 50. Nonetheless it doesn't matter because unlimited means just that unlimited.

My issue is offer me something to justify an increase in my bill. Especially when my bill was already equivalent to someone who used 30 or so gigs which I don't. Someone is paying 20 for text and talk while I'm paying 90.... there is your additional money for my data right there.

No one has stated that everyone with unlimited data is using 50-100 GB. Many aren't. Those people need to CHOOSE if unlimited data is still a better value at the increased price. If it is, keep it. If it isn't, get rid of it. THAT is your choice.

IF your bill was already equivalent to someone who used 30 or so gigs and you don't use 30 GB then WHY do you have unlimited data????? You have a choice to keep unlimited data and pay the price increase OR to go on a plan more suited to YOUR needs. Just because you want to keep unlimited data does not mean Verizon should keep the price for that plan artificially low simply to make you happy.

If going with a cheaper plan is what people wanted to do they would. It does not matter why people have determined they need unlimited data. That is a decision they have made for them.

The fact that the plan went up $20 and people are upset is just that. If you have a different plan, or have no issues with the increase this thread does not pertain to you. It seems to be a lot of people that this issue does not concern that are commenting.

If it bothers people that much they have options on their own. Complaining about it isn't going to fix it. The FCC isn't going to do a thing about increases especially when out of contract and you agreeing to the terms which the FCC gets and regulates as well as approve. Your options are go to another carrier, stay with the plan, or stop service altogether.

None of those things are my concern. This is a forum for people to express their feelings happy or not. It did not say the community was only for people who have good things to say about Verizon.

I could say that right back at you.  You can replace good with  bad.  You'll always get both.  I never said it was a good thing, and people haven't said it was a good thing.  All a lot of is saying it is what it is, and it's best to talk with your wallets than your mouths.  I did a long time ago, but I use Verizon for work because it can't compare, but with my own money I use T-Mobile because it works for me here.  This goes a lot farther than complaining on a customer to customer first board.

II agree with you! So why is everyone telling people to stop complaining? Let people complain. If you don't want to read the complaints remove yourself from the thread.

Let people complain in peace.

As the old saying goes, "you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time". If someone's opinions and posts offend you, scroll on past them. As stated, this forum is to express your opinion be it good or bad. As I said in the Army for 20 years, if you can't handle someone's opinion suck it up buttercup and move on.

I don't think he was directly calling you buttercup.  It's just a phrase.  Forums have both the bad and the good and when you put them together you can actually get some really great debates.  So, people who have good things to say about it can state points as well as people who have possibly negative things to say.  Debate is good for the brain.
