Why can't I send messages to a device in Hungary?

I am unable to send or receive SMS to/from Hungary using either +country code or 011 to call. However SMS to Chile are sent and received without any issues using +country code. Any ideas as to what the problem is? iphone 5S

I know how important it is to have access to your phone while out of the country ceglediguy. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. What error message are you receiving. Making and receiving domestic calls and texts is not a problem. International calls are not made from this device. Only international texts are made and those texts to Hungary are not received by either us or the recipient. Texts to Chile are send and received without any problems.

The link you indicated above only shows 2 carriers participating: Pannon and Telenor Hungary. Does this mean that other carriers will not received SMS sent to them?

Thank you for that information. We do have agreements with certain international carriers in order to provide service to and from each respectivie carrier. If not associated with established carrier it can have a negative affect with texting option.
