Obviously, different people have different ideas about what is acceptable.

For instance, MOST people use less than 2 GB of data in a month and would therefore NOT be impacted by a 2GB data tier or in other words "loss of an unlimited data plan". Others as can be seen on these forums use upwards of 10 GB/month due to streaming of netflix, pandora, etc... and WOULD be affected by a loss of unlimited data and/or being throttled down to dial-up speeds.

I, for one, HAVE NEVER(in over 6 years of smartphone use) used over 2 GB in any given month on my smartphone and would therefore NOT be affected by a 2GB(or 2.5 GB for that matter) limit on high speed data OR by a tiered data plan if giving up unlimited. THAT is why switching to the Share Everything plan #1 - did not bother me and #2 - saved me money over having separate data plans for my 4 lines.

Different people have different requirements and different usage patterns for their phones. What is acceptable for one person IS NOT necessarily acceptable for the next person. You should ALWAYS go with what is best for you, NOT what is best for someone else as you may find it does not fit your needs or wants.

I am happy your plan works well for you. For many others, it would not be acceptable. Many people would NOT be happy without having access to 4G data speeds which is what would happen if switching to StraightTalk.

I am happy you have found a plan which is a better fit for you than what you can get with Verizon.Smiley Happy

It's not so much the plan but the cost and not feeling I'm being ripped off... I have lived all over the world and there is no reason apart from greed why Verizon Set things the way they are.... One other thing ... The US were about 5 years behind the rest of the world when it came to Cell phones... The way I see is,, Verizon or Bell Atlantic back then saw this and figured out how to squeeze more  money out of people just like what they did with text's which cost next to nothing to process

But if you go with StraightTalk and are used to 4G LTE and expect/want 4G LTE, paying $45/month and not receiving 4G LTE WOULD make some people think they were getting ripped off, just as you feel ripped off with Verizon's plans.

As I have said previously, what is acceptable for some is not acceptable for others. You have found a plan which you found acceptable. Others may not find it so if it does not offer what they have come to expect AND want.

Not all 4G are not made the same... Here we can see AT&T has the fastest...http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2420334,00.asp... So why are people paying more for Verizon?

Because of poor service experience with AT&T in the past??? That is MY reason, at least. Others may have different reasons.

The same reason for Sprint.

I have not actually tried T-Mobile, but that is simply because my location sits in the middle of a "no service area" for T-Mobile. I prefer to actually receive service where I am located.

As are all large corporations.........If they weren't, then they wouldn't be as big as they are.

The point is it's not "unlimited". Can you say false advertising? And you complain about Verizon being fraudulent?
