I found one but it wants me to select a new plan after it too. Where's the one that you can activate an old phone without a new plan?

You can call *228 from the phone you want to activate and follow the prompts. If there is an issue with an incompatible plan, a service rep will come on the line and you can work it out. Make sure your current phone is off before you try to activate another phone ont he same line.
On the MyVerizon website, on the right side of hte home page, is a link to "Activate Phone". If you put in the ESN of the phone you want to activate, and it's asking you to select a new plan, then there's something about your current plan that's not compatible with the phone. What is your current phone? And which phone are you trying to activate? What is your current plan?
