I don't understand why you had to make changes...it was perfectly fine the way it was.
I used to be able to check erased messages but now that is no longer an option! Which is really REALLY DUMB, btw!

I don't ever recall being able to retrieve an erased message after calling VM. Meaning, you call, you listen, you erase, you hang up and it is gone. As long as you don't hang up it should still be retrievable.
Losing an important voicemail is never a good feeling. Let’s dig into what happened. What make and model phone do you have? What type of voicemail do you have on your line?
