What is best plan I can get? Want smartphone.

Currently on a basic phone plan. 2 phones with 700 minutes that I don't even use. It's lowest one they have for a shared plan. Now I'd like to upgrade to a smartphone, but I'm not due til next February. Is it best to just wait til then? I want a smartphone, but the wife hates technology so could care less. She kind of isn't crazy about the whole data being extra. So should I just wait til I'm due for upgrade. I'd probably even go with an older phone like a Galaxy S III or something to save on cost of phone cause I see right now at least you can get it free with contract.

I just don't want my bill to be crazy expensive. Right now it's at about $115 a month for 2 basic phones.

You could do 1 smartphone ($40) plus 1 basic phone ($30) under the more everything plan. You can get 250mb for $15.

So you could pay $85+tx for 2 lines(1 smart and one basic) using unlimited talk-text and 250mb of data.

You could do 1GB of data for $40 so that would put you at $110+tx

Hmm, so I have to pick one of those options on minutes or data. Is there anyway to choose a new phone while I'm at it. It only lets me see how bill will be with basic phones that I can see right now. I'm in a contract so would this be breaking it by changing the plan?

Also I have no sense of data, is there anyway to know what is a good amount to get.

If you contract isn't up till next february I'd wait.

You wouldn't be able to choose a new phone at a discounted price while under contract.

You could change the plan now I believe, but there would be no point if you aren't going to get a new smartphone till next Feb.

When it comes to data, since you're used to a basic phone, it's highly unlikely you will use a lot of data. I would recommend to start with 1GB and modify it from there
