Well, this is a no brainer.

First you extend my service contract by 4 months without my knowledge. Then you come up with the absurd notion that good honest customers should be rewarded with a $30 fee to stay? And don't give that bull about discounted price on upgrade, I checked the price is the same for a new customer as it would be if I upgraded except I pay a $30 fee. And now I can't browse on my LG Octane. Well you offer NOTHING! Time to take my number and my loyalty to some one else.

Actually the upgrade fee came first in April 2012. The upgrade eligibility change was in April 2013. New customers will have an activation fee of $35 per line to start an account.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

new customers have to pay a $35 activation charge so you do get a $5 discount.  I am curious as to who you would go to that doesn't have an upgrade fee or finance charge.
