Up until a few months ago whenever I called a landline with my prepaid phone the name displayed on the landline's caller ID was my name. A few months ago it began displaying Wireless Caller. Now it's displaying a different name (my son's). I used to be on my son's family plan but [because I rarely use my phone] he moved me to a prepaid plan and got me a new phone. From the start, when I called a landline, my name was displayed... what's changed all of a sudden!?

KidmanPE,
I would be happy to explain. With postpaid accounts there is a setting that can be changed to display how you appear on a caller ID. This setting was changed from your name to displaying you as Wireless Caller.

More specifically, you can sign in to your my verizon account and go to "change features". You should see a feature to toggle on or off to display your name. It is actually FREE! Why your son's name displays, I have no idea.
