VerizonWireless is holding my rebate hostage

Under duress, because sadly due to the lack of fair competition in my area, I am stuck once again on Big Red's network. My beloved Voyager no longer was able to charge and I finally ended up getting an Env3, which I totally hate. I sent in my rebate on August 1, postmarked and paid for a US Mail Priority Package. Sent in all the required paperwork. Made copies. Tracking for the post office says Big Red got it on August 5th. The only phone number provided is an automated system. This system first said it did not get my paperwork. Which is wrong because I have tracking to prove it and I am expecting to get a copy of the signature too from the Post Office. I checked again today after getting a new email with perhaps a new tracking number. Now the less than intelligent system thinks it recieved it on August 21st which is again wrong becuase I have proof of acceptance of the package. It is now saying I won't get my money until October!! The paperwork I have says two weeks.  Not eight + weeks. It has already been three + weeks.  I called customer service and no help there. No one seemed to understand that the phone number for the rebate center has no real humans. Does anyone have an address or phone for the rebate office or better yet, corpoprate legal??

Has this happened to anyone else??

The 800# have a option to speak to someone, just make sure you call during business hours.

Yes, the 800# definitely has an option to talk to a live person. Also, sometimes it actually does take 4-8 weeks to get a rebate back. Don't know why it takes so long, that's the way it works sometimes I guess. There's nothing you can do to speed it up, so just as long as you got your confirmation that you'll be getting the rebate in October you need to be patient.

I just finished going through the whole rebate process. I pre-registered mine online. Then mailed the paperwork. When checking the status a few weeks later it still said "we have not yet received the paper copy of your rebate..." It STILL said this 2 weeks later...when the rebate appeared at my house. :smileytongue:

So the website tracking thing is unreliable and it CAN take a while to get the rebate.
