Verizon maintenance in Augusta, GA? No voice signal on either of my phones!

Intermittent ... ususally zero ... voice signal since Saturday.  Both phones ... at different locations in the city ... discharge rapidly, looking for a signal.  I've cycled on/off and, with an intermittent signal, updated roaming.  Nothing works.

Suggestions????  Are there tower renovations going on??

Hope someone can help.

There are some cell site migrations going on in Augusta, GA, so there is a known issue with some customer's losing signal. You'll need to call in for troubleshooting, there may be a new PRL that they'll need to program into your phone. Make sure you call from a landline or another cell phone that's not the one you're having trouble with.

I took both of my phones in to a Verizon store yesterday.  The manager said that we were supposed to have received a letter from Verizon re: the cell site migration project in Augusta, GA and its possible effects on customers.  I got no such letter.

The manager and a technician updated the software on both phones, including a new SID for both.

The problems continue, however.  Occasionally spotty voice signal ... excellent to none! ...  from my home location, which previously was stable and strong.  The second phone on my account ... different location, still in the city ... is now experiencing almost no signal at all.  Both phones' batteries discharge rapidly, of course, when searching for a nonexistent signal.

Since there seems to be some knowledge about the ongoing Augusta, GA cell site migration project floating around, does anyone know the schedule for its completion ... and when we might see the poor signal problems go away?

(Verizon is missing the PR boat by not providing information to customers about this problem!)

If not, is there anything more that tech services can do at this point?

Frustrated in Augusta!!!
