I've been trying to get this resolved for days and it's almost there but not quite. I have 6 more days for my grace period to decide if I'm going to stay with Verizon or not so I'd love to try and get my issues resolved.
The day the iPhone 6 launched I called Verizon with a handful of questions. I was mostly curious about the plan breakdown and the promotion of 1gb extra data per line on a shared account. I asked the rep if this promotion was going to be going on for a while and he informed me that it would be as they just launched the new iPhones and this was a promotion for customers/new customers.
Fast forward a few days and I was able to purchase an iPhone 6+ for myself and an iPhone 6 for my wife. I signed us up with two new Verizon accounts. A day or so later I noticed our 2GB promotion data for each line wasn't on our account. I have now been calling and going back and forth for a week trying to get this all resolved.
I was informed the promo ended on 9.30.14 so I feel like it was bait and switch when the rep informed me this promotion would be active for quite some time as the new phones were rolling out. This was one of the main reasons why I switched to Verizon from Sprint. I'm already losing unlimited data by switching to verizon but also, my bill would be more expensive too. So I really needed this 2gb promotional data. After a bunch of calls I was able to get the promo data added, but only 1gb was added. Over the last couple days on the phone I was finally some progress made but the rep said he was only able to add 500mb of promotional data to the second line on our shared account and only for a year.
I understand the promo has ended but I feel like I was misled to get me to switch to verizon only to find out I couldn't get the 2GB of promotional data. Now everything is fragmented. I'm only getting 500MB for 1 year for the second line when it should be 1GB for 2 years.
I seriously have 7 days left to decide if I'm staying with verizon or not. I'd love to stay but I really need to get this resolved as I'm coming from unlimited and a cheaper bill to limited and a more expensive bill. This is kind of the tipping point.
Can any mods please chime in and help.
Scratch the above. I'm just going to cancel my service since I'm within the 14 days still. There's nothing that a forum mod can do to help if calling the HQ didn't help much. I'll just move back to my previous carrier.
Thats not good. I was also promised an extra 1GB per line. My phones wont arrive until at least 10/17, so the promotion will be long gone. When I ordered the phone in the store, I was told that I will get the additional data as i had ordered before 9/30. Lets see what happens.
the promotions will be honored. Witht he new launch of the iphone you have got to give all the cell phone companys a break. imagine milliongs of people ordering, paying, switching, activating, adding promotiuons, changing plans all a months time. call custoemr service, if you get a rep that doesnt know what he is doing tell him there is a special offline time his supervisor needs to email to have the 1 gb of promo data added. it will get added it takes time
Been waiting a month and 10 days. I understand giving them time, but over 40 days at this point is ridiculous and amounts to false advertising/bait and switch.
