Verizon Dec 2016 new smartphone upgrade with credit

On Dec 4th 2016 we went to our local Verizon store to upgrade a basic phone to a smartphone. Picked a Samsung Galaxy J3 as it was $7.00 a month for the first 3 months and then it would show a $7.00 credit paid by Verizon for the balance of the device payment. This offer was also on the Motorola Moto z and an LG phone for 4 phones on the credit after 3 month plan. 3 months came and went and no credit. Went back to our local store and the clerk called Verizon direct. Verizon rep told the store clerk that they were behind in issuing the credits as they had had an overwhelming response to these offers. Waited another month and still no credit. We then called Verizon ourselves. After a quite lengthy conversation, we were told that someone at Verizon would call us back on Wednesday of next week. Next week came and went and no call. Waited another week and called again. Same thing. They would call us back next week and it would all be figured out. Still no calls from Verizon wireless. We are now more than 6 months into this fiasco. Going to go back again this week to our local store (50 mile round trip, local) and have them call Verizon again and see what kind of story we get this time. We have been a customer of Verizon every since they bought out Comnet Cellular aprox 17 or 18 years ago. Frustrated to the point of switching carriers and taking our chances on coverage as we live in Central Wyoming and there is not a whole lot to choose from.
