Hey guys. I'm wondering what I can do here...??
Scenario:
Family Plan with 4 lines.
Line 1: Unlimited Data (mine)
Line 2: 2GB Smart Phone
Line 3: 2GB Smart Phone
Line 4: Dumb phone I used to upgrade line 1 to iPhone 6+
Anyway, my family with 2GB are complaining about how they don't have enough data; rightfully so. Is there any way to upgrade THEIR data plans at all without losing my unlimited data on line 1? I've read that if you do any upgrades to any data packages, they'll take away the unlimited.
Any suggestions on what to do?

Great question, jasko! You may have some options to switch the data plans for the two lines that are currently on 2GB. However, I understand the importantance of not losing your unlimited data package as well. Please reply to the Direct Message I've sent you, so I can assist with your account.

Compare the costs....realistically, how much data do you use on your unlimited line? Would 10GB or 15GB shared suffice? If so, it may be cheaper to go with More Everything, unlimited calls and texts, and if any of your lines are out of contract, get the month to month discount.. You are effectively paying $40 per line for the smartphones now - so if they are out of contract, it would be $25 less per line on More Everything for those two lines. The dumbphone line would add $20.
10GB Shared - $80
3 Smartphpones @$40 is $120
1 Basic line - $20
Total $220 - how does that compare to what you are currently paying? If any of the smartphpone lines are out of contract, subtract $25 for each line that is month to month - is it workable ???
It's more so about the comfort of not having to worry about going over on data to be honest.
Call me ridiculous or selfish, but it is what it is. I joined Verizon for this plan and they took it away from everyone.
In any event, thanks for the breakdown. Right now my billing cycle ends on 07/19 and I've used 16.655GB so far. This is just normal use for work and personal use (not even for streaming movies, etc).
To divide 15gb up between two other people isn't going to work without me heavily monitoring my usage. I plan on canceling the dumbphone line in October anyway once the contract is up. I only added that line to my account in order to upgrade my phone/keep my plan.
Once the contracts are up on these phones (October as well), is there any way I can setup a new Verizon account with those two phone numbers and leave my number as the primary/only one on the account?
The data options for the current 2GB lines are
$50 for 5 GB
$80 for 10 GB
(both are $10 per GB of overage)
