Upgrading Phone Help

I have an upgrade ready to go on my phone. The only problem is that I am on my parents account, and the live over 1,000 miles away from me. Last time I got an upgrade they told me one of my parents would have to be there in person. Is there any possible way of getting an upgrade while we are so far away?

Your parents could add you as an Account Manager to the account, but they may choose not to do that since the account access would be so broad, i.e.,

Or whoever is the account holder can call customer service to add you as an account manager.
