Upgrade Texting Plan... Help!

I want to upgrade my texting plan from Unlimited M2M plus 500 to Unlimited M2M plus 5000. In doing so, will I have to renew my contract thus adding on another 2 years, or does it just modify my current plan while keeping my current contract?

You will keep the current contract date.

You can make changes to your plan and features at any time without extending your contract. Your contract will only be extended if you choose to upgrade your device,
