Unlimited data????

So AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are all winning the minds and hearts of there customers by offering unlimited data.... but where is Verizon? Verizon has yet to even hint at a possible unlimited plan and it really makes no sense. I saw Verizon as a leader and innovator but now I see them as a stubborn old man who would rather hold on to what he has rather than trade it in and join the rest of the world. We have become more and more dependent on data and not just for Instagram or Facebook but also for Maps, restaurants, reservations, directory and so many more. It has become and integral part of our lives and will only grow and that is not necessarily a bad thing. How long can Verizon hold there breath? Please share your thoughts and comments.

Yes I see that AT&T are good if you have Directv and I have never been a fan of Sprint or T-Mobile coverage unless you live in a big city but the fact of the matter is most people don't see that. They see unlimited data and jump the gun. Now even if people leave and do end up coming back wont this hurt Verizon and in turn hurt the customers?

How is unlimited data?

Verizon can't slow nor impede data. Block C rules dictates this. Sprint, T-mobile, and AT&T uses network optimization methods once you hit around 20GB. So they have an unfair advantage at that point. I have said this more than once. As carriers start buying the new spectrum the FCC will implement the same rules and watch unlimited data disappear.

Actually it doesn't. Bandwidth has no relation to amount. They are not mutually inclusive.

Carriers don't actually throttle you. What they do is change your priorty. For example everyone us president of the USA. Once you hit that amount you are out of office. So when a president goes by he gets to do things faster than you, but you can still do them. Once he is gone everything goes back to normal. Throttling you will get one speed and no faster.

Doesn't matter honestly. 600 spectrum is coming up. AT&T will probably get it and do the same thing Verizon did. Then as more spectrum comes out Sprint and T-mobile will probably do the same and it'll be a moot point.

I have been with Verizon for 12 years but because they will not give unlimit data I am thinking about moving to att. They are stupid if they think they would not lose business because they will.

You are much mistaken if you think they do not have unlimited data they do. You pay 60.00 monthly and you have unlimited data. You have to bundle your billing with directv but  many people are going with this offer.

Make sure you read the fine print.

I done my homework. Some areas do not get unlimited data and will get 10GB of shared data if you don't qualify. Their reps are clueless about it. Also there is a 25GB soft cap as outlined in their terms. This is something like I mentioned Verizon can't do because of regulation. When AT&T ends up getting one of those newly vacated spectrum that offer will go away and chances are since it is a promotional plan AT&T reserved the right to put you on a 10GB shared plan at their whim and you can't claim it violated the terms and conditions you agreed to. You have to agree you get that plan, but your default plan is 10GB shared in the event the plan is terminated.
