I can get to the unlock SIM option but then I do not know what the SIM code is. How can I get this as I cannot come into a store and I'm not the main name on the account so no one will talk to me on the phone (family plan).
You can have the account owner add you as an account manager, if you like and we can help you with the sim code, if you locked it. If you did not lock your sim card then all of our 4G phones are unlocked. You can put a Canadian sim card in and your phone will work.

the default code on these devices are either 000000 or 123456.
This is not a 4G device but you may have to find somewhere in the settings what the sim number is and to set the device in teh correct "mode" (CDMA or GSM) for it to work properly
