Tavelling to Riviera Maya... will I be able to make calls without roaming charges?   Texts?   Data?

We don't know what plan you have so there is no way to tell.

Verizon does offer international plans and you may qualify to use your plans data/texting/calling allowances in Mexico for a fee of $2/day.
