I just got TWO calls like this no more than 5 minutes ago. Answered the second one, with that same intro of "your Verizon acct has been suspended". Waited for a few seconds after the options and then they hung up.
I keep getting these calls from my voicemail listing my number as the caller. Obviously a scam, mine from Microsoft saying they had to change my ip number or my account would be canceled. Other than hanging up what can be done about these calls. Is Verizon doing anything to stop them?
Had the same thing happen to me today. Twice. First time I missed the call.
Second time... I was curious... hit 2 to speak to a customer representative...
As soon as he answered...I knew something was off. Lots of background noise, poor quality call.
I asked for his Verizon Employee ID Number...
"****" and proceeded to hang up on me.
Verizon... you need to do something about this.

In general, these issues are handled by the FCC on the following web page https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/spoofing-and-caller-id. Verizon offers Caller Name ID https://www.verizonwireless.com/solutions-and-services/caller-name-id/ to stop mystery calls. Does this help?

Evidently they are at it again...just received this same call today from 1800-922-1618. Gave me an option to press 1 to reactivate or 2 to talk to a representative. I hung up without responding.
