Rhapsody Subscription/format card issues

Can anyone give me ideas as to how to get around having to re-format my media card now that I have received my new Dare?  My original one had a software issue and since it was under warranty, Verizon sent me a new (reconditioned) one, this morning.  HOWEVER, a lot of  the music on my card will not play - and it is telling me to re-format my card, which will remove every bit of music and photographs that are on it...(over 800 songs, alone, on ONE card alone)  And will take, MINIMUM, four days to re-download... so, if anyone has a way to get around this nastiness, I would appreciate knowing about it!  I really think Verizon should come up with a way to protect the music their customers OWN (the songs that will not play happen to be the ones I outright PURCHASED, not the ones that I "borrow" from Rhapsody...but the rep I spoke with said the only way to get the licenses to come back, is to reformat the card, losing my entire library.... VERY bad business, if you ask me... I feel that Verizon owes me(and anyone else in this situation) SOMEthing if this is truly the case... as I will not have use of my phone/music for approx. a weeks' time...  If they really cared they would do something about seeing to it that their phones and cards are compatible/interchangeable with the Rhapsody subscription site/licenses, if you ask me...  "IF" my phone had been broken due to my own negligence, I would have to accept the consequenses... but it is a software issue... NOT my fault... KWIM???   And still, the rep had NO advice/help for me other than, you have to reformat, it is the only way...  So, if anyone knows another way, I would appreciate hearing it! Thanks!

If the songs were purchased from Verizon Wireless you can go to media retrieval from your online account to retrieve your downloads.
