I have an unlimited data plan that is now month to month as the previous 2 year agreement recently expired. I'm waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Iphone 5S to be released.
I understand that you might be able to keep your unlimited data plan if you do not renew your account for another 2 years while purchasing the new smartphone at a subsizied price by Verizon. I would need to pay full retail price on these new phones and put them under my existing month to month plan.
The questions are: How does one remove their old cell phone (in this case, both of use have Iphone 4) from their account and replace them with the new Note 3 and Iphone 5S? Would I need to purchase both smartphones directly from Verizon or can I get them from another retailer?
Would I need to call up Customer service to let them switch them over or can I do this myself if I access my own account online?
Are there any connection fees or other expenses with doing this?
Has anyone already done this and still have their unlimited data plan?
