Register a complaint with customer service

I need to register an official complaint with the operations of customer service.

I have attempted to order a phone and have it delivered.

- The woman via chat never informed me that signature was required. When I discovered this the next day, missing the delivering, I wanted to change the shipping address.

- The next day the person I spoke with via chat said they couldn't change the shipping address, and try signing the slip

- The next business day I tried signing the delivery slip as suggested, but that didn't work

- The next day via phone, Sam said they could change the shipping address, and he submitted the change, gave me some credits, since I was previously mis-informed (twice), and said it should take 2-3 business days to re-route.

- I never received the phone. I called again. Kia said the order was returned to sender. This phone call took over an hour and a half of my evening. She submitted a new order, I paid the tax again, even though I hadn't been reimbursed from the first order. She credited my verizon account, since this process has taken 2.5 weeks now. She placed a new order to my office address, overnight shipping, telling me I would have the phone by Thursday morning.

- I never received the phone. I called again. The woman I spoke to said the order is in limbo. No explanation why, but it hasn't been shipped.

- Manager gets on the phone. All she can do is cancel this order, and asks me to place an order for a third time, and pay the tax for a third time.

I have no phone, no order, over two hours of wasted time, and it's taken three weeks for Verizon to figure out how to place an order, and ship a phone, and they still can't figure it out. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in my adult life. Kia has been the only one trying to make it right, but as to why the order she placed got stuck in limbo and had to be canceled is a mystery that no one cares to explain. I've been a customer for over ten years, and this is how I'm treated.

Most phones are $800 these days, of course it'd require a signature. A carrier isn't going to drop something off like that like it's common mail.

Once a package is en route, you contact UPS/USPS/Fed-Ex on to deliver differently or hold for pickup. A rep doesn't have the ability to reroute packages. Best they can do is put you on hold to call that carrier -- something you could do without waiting in a long Verizon call que.

Again, phones these days are expensive, you shouldn't be reminded a signature is required.
