I ported my number over to Verizon Nov 8th. At the time they were offering new customers $150 credit. Still have not received it...Called them several times but but still no credit...isn't that false advertising?

I am going on my 5th billing cycle. I was just told because I bought my phone from a 3rd party dealer (Costco) Verizon will not give me the $150. I had been calling for the last two mo's, each time I was told it would be on my next bill. The last person I spoke to was LaVetta, I referred her to the website which showed the promotion on Nov 1st 2014. No where does it mention anything about a 3rd party dealer. She promised to get back to me but never did.

I also bought my phone from third party (Target) and got the same story you did about not qualifying for the port-in credit as a result. In making my purchase, I relied on the following thread (#842196) in this forum:
Port In Credit

Do you get the port in credit only if you buy online or in a Verizon Store? I found the devices I ordered 6 weeks ago locally at a 3rd party store, and wonder if I buy them at the 3rd party if I can still get the port in credit.

Hi theusualsuspect!
Great news! All port ins are eligible for this credit. It does take 2-3 billing cycles to get the credit, but going to a 3rd party vendor is OK!

Unless you accepted a different offer from Costco, if they were offering a $150 gift card for instance or Best Buy when I got my last two phones they gave me an instant $150 gift card which I used as a down payment on the edge phone I was buying to cut down on the monthly edge payment.
