Pre vs post 8/22/2020 Do More Unlimited

Miembro

What's the difference between original Do More Unlimited and the new post 8/22/2020 Do More Unlimited? Should I upgrade to the new 8/22/2020 plan to avoid hard caps on a hotspot? I only care about how traffic is treated after I hit 50 GB or 15 GB for hotspot and don't use Disney Plus, Apple Music, Jetpack, discount, or other features.

Original Do More

After 50GB is it hard throttled (slow for rest of billing period) or slowed when network is congested?

15GB of Mobile Hotspot is hard throttled at up to 600Kbps after cap reached

5G Access is $10, but Verizon is crediting the $10 for now (will that change?)

fredtheocelot - You've asked some great questions & we definitely want to make sure you're on the best plan for your needs. Based on the fact that you don't use Disney+, Apple Music or have a Jetpack, I would say that the new Do More unlimited plan would work best for you. I've added a few other comparisons below between the plans.

Old Do More plan:

>> 480p DVD-quality streaming

>> 500GB of Verizon Cloud storage included

New Do More plan:

>> 720p DVD-quality streaming

>> 600GB of Verizon Cloud storage included

Yes, the new & the old still have where when you use more than 50GB of 4GLTE data per line in a billing cycle, you may see your speeds slow down. Additionally, they both still have the 15GB 4G LTE of Mobile Hotspot per billing cycle.

What are your thoughts based on the information that I've provided?

If you don't care about any extra perks, it's the same plan with the option to get more bandwidth for streaming.
